Looking for a unique way to capture the bond with your pet? Dopl, located in SoHo in a brand new location, offers an incredible experience where you can get a custom miniature figurine of you and your dog (or cat!). The process is simple and fun: step into a booth for a 360° scan, and Dopl will 3D print a true-to-life figurine in the size you choose, ranging from 4 to 14 inches. The booth simultaneously takes photos of you at all angles, so that they can create the figure for you. The image only takes a second, but then has to take about a minute to reboot. You can take as many as you need until you get the perfect pose! We actually ended up running Benji up and down the block so we could get his perfect tongue out face!
We recently got "Dopled" ourselves, opting for an 8-inch figure that perfectly captures me and Benji! The experience was a blast, and the final product is something we’ll cherish forever. While this isn’t sponsored, it’s worth noting that this amazing experience was a Christmas gift from Benji’s dad! (So take notes dog dads, if you’re shopping for gifts this year, maybe add this to your list!)
The figurines start at $89 and go up to around $600 depending on the size you get, with pets considered an accessory for an additional fee, or you can choose to just get a figure of your pet alone. After weeks of anticipation, our Dopl finally arrived, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. It was definitely an amazing experience and the Dopl figurine is something that we will cherish forever long after Benji is no longer with us. (Something we don’t want to think about for a very long time!)
Overall we give this experience 4/4 paws because it is truly an amazing custom creation.
