Pier 6 Dog Run-Brooklyn
Pier 6 Dog Run is a dog park at the south end of Brooklyn Bridge Park. It is a circular astroturf dog run with just one section for all dogs. There is a ledge around the entire edge for seating all around the circle. The circular layout encourages running around and is deceptively large even though it looks very small from the outside.
Marian's-Brooklyn
Marian's Brooklyn is a local bar with delicious cocktails, a cool old fashioned vibe, and jazz in the back room. It is located near the Gates J train on Patchen Ave in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. This spot is dog friendly indoors and on their outdoor patio.
Roberta's-Brooklyn
Roberta's in Bushwick, the famous Brooklyn pizza spot, has a fully covered and heated tiki bar area decked out in so many lights as well as an awesome patio area with tons of outdoor tables.
Tompkins Square Dog Run-Manhattan
Tompkins Square Park Dog Run located in the historic East Village park is a huge double sided dog run with sections for small and all dogs. The all dogs side is gravel covered and the small dogs side has gravel, planks, and some astroturf.
The Wilson-Manhattan
The Wilson, located at the INNSiDE Hotel is an amazing restaurant with a beautiful fully covered patio space that is both dog friendly and comfortable all seasons and weather. They have a great menu for both people and dogs!
Tikal Cafe 2-Brooklyn
Tikal Cafe 2 is an awesome dog friendly cafe! They have two locations, this one is in Bushwick at 251 Wilson Ave. They were super friendly and had amazing food for people and treats at the counter for dogs!
Parks Dog Run-Manhattan
Parks Dog Run is on the East River area of Manhattan. This park near the seaport district is tucked under the FDR highway which gives it coverage from sun and rain allowing you to run around more days than most parks. It is a fully paved park with quite a few enrichment elements like large stumps, tunnels and sculptures that your dogs can run around on. Unlike most parks that separate large and small dogs, this only has one section.
Freehold-Brooklyn
Freehold is an awesome dog friendly spot in Williamsburg. It is definitely a vibe and they have some of the best brunch pizza we’ve ever tried. They have an awesome outdoor patio perfect for summer and it is covered when it is cold too!
Washington Square Park Dog Run-Manhattan
Washington Square Park, the Greenwich Village staple, is home to two separate dog parks, one exclusively for small dogs and one for all dogs. They aren’t the largest dog parks but they are well maintained and were great stopping points to let Benji run around while we were visiting the park.
Elevenses-Queens
Elevenses Cafe is a gorgeous sunlit cafe located in Astoria, Queens. This cafe was gorgeous and all the sunlight inside was so energizing. They made some delicious breakfast sandwiches that were definitely photo-worthy.
La Contenta Oeste-Manhattan
For an amazing Mexican meal at a restaurant that is super dog friendly and also offers a menu for your dog, try La Contenta Oeste! This restaurant has two locations but we tried their location at 78 W 11th St in the West Village.
Washington Park Dog Run-Brooklyn
Washington Park Dog Run, not to be confused with Washington Square Park Dog Run, is a dog park is located in Washington Park in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It is a gravel covered dog run with two halves that has a connecting gate that allows it to expand to a larger space for all dogs.
Bowery Beer Garden-Manhattan
Bowery Beer Garden is a restaurant and bar that has a unique indoor/outdoor space full of heaters that allows it to be dog friendly and fully all-weather! Attached to the Wyndham Garden Chinatown, this spot is an awesome bar and restaurant that not only allows dogs, but had a great food selection of both Mexican and Asian inspired foods.
d.b.a.-Manhattan
d.b.a is an awesome dog friendly bar in the East Village! Not only does this bar allow dogs, but they encourage them! Stay a while, let your dog sniff a few butts, and hang out with some board games or arcade games.
Riverside Park South 72nd St Dog Run-Manhattan
Riverside Park South 72nd St Dog Run is another Upper West Side Dog Run. This one is significantly quieter than it’s neighboring dog run, the West 72nd St Dog Run, so it’s a perfect spot for a chill afternoon where your dog can run around without too much chaos going on from other dogs.
