Fish Bridge Park Dog Run-Manhattan
A small but clean dog run tucked away near the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Treadwell Park-Manhattan
Treadwell Park on the Upper East Side offers dog-friendly outdoor seating with shaded picnic tables, though the atmosphere outside is less vibrant than the lively, game-filled interior. It’s a decent spot for a casual meal with your dog, but be prepared for the busy sidewalk setting.
Kills Boro Brewing Co-Staten Island
Check out Kills Boro Brewing Co. in Staten Island, a dog-friendly brewery with a spacious outdoor patio, in-house brews, and fun games. Located near the ferry stop, it's a great spot to relax with your pup on a nice day!
The Steel Mill-Brooklyn
For a cool bar recommendation, try The Steel Mill in Bushwick, Brooklyn. This new spot has a lot of great food options, fun cocktails and a great happy hour. They have a huge front outdoor seating area that is not heated or covered, but is dog friendly.
Brooklyn Bridge Park Dog Run-Brooklyn
Brooklyn Bridge Park Dog Run, (aka Main Street Dog Run), is not our favorite dog run for sure. Not all dog parks can be winners and this one below average. We give honest reviews here and this park, located in Brooklyn Bridge Park under the Manhattan Bridge, makes a good use of space that otherwise would be empty, but the fact is, the location is incredibly loud with the trains passing overhead constantly.
Black Lab Cafe-Manhattan
Black Lab Cafe was formerly a fully dog friendly cafe but since January 24, 2024, they no longer allow dogs inside as they once did. Now they only allow service dogs inside as they serve full meals. They do have an outdoor seating shack, but outdoor dining will be only allowed from April-November in NYC in the upcoming year, so this will no longer be a dog friendly location all year round.
The Owl Farm-Brooklyn
The Owl Farm is a cute little bar in Park Slope Brooklyn. While we were allowed indoors with Benji, upon doing research for this post, their website has a no-dog policy listed. So we would put this is a dog-maybe spot with a possibility of getting turned away.
Bugsy's Dog Run-Queens
This is a small independently operated dog run located in Astoria, Queens in Astoria Park. It is not associated with NY Parks. It is a single section dog run located right along the East River. While it does have some of the most incredible views of any dog park we have been to in the city so far, it isn't the most up to date dog run. It only has a single gate, so if entering while other dogs are in the park, be sure to be extra careful so no one escapes.
